I first learned of the beautiful photo restoration that Bill Heroy does when I happened upon his old shop and studio in downtown Greensboro several years ago. At the time, I picked up one of his business cards, and a few years later, after Bill and Anna had relocated their studio to Summerfield, I called and left a message to inquire about having fading family photos restored. Bill’s wife, Anna, immediately called me back. She and Bill had been watching a movie, but she stepped outside the theater to take my information, and that is how my association with Bill and Anna began. More recently, after my dear nephew Sammy became ill, I asked Bill if he could make a large giclée print of one of my favorite pictures of Sammy from a small JPEG. I also asked if he could try to make the print quickly to help bolster the spirits of my family, and Bill was able to make a beautiful print and frame it in a matter of days. Bill and Anna shipped the framed portrait across five states, and when I unwrapped the portrait of Sammy, I could see on the faces of my parents and my husband that all were visibly moved. Bill had selected an Italian frame that perfectly complements the portrait of Sammy, and there was not a single scratch or dent on the frame or print when the framed portrait of my cherished nephew arrived. Bill had fretted about the cost of shipping, but I assured him later that the cost of his work for restoration, printing, framing, and shipping was worth every penny. As time passes, photos become more precious, and you cannot put a price on the beautiful work that Bill does in restoring treasured family photographs.
They are passionate about restoring and preserving!!! We had my Grandmother's photo at about 6 months to a year old and her parents wedding photos cleaned and preserved for us. They are in their original oval frames. My Grandmother passed away in 2015 at 97 years old. These memories are precious!! We are fortunate to have found Old Photo Specialists!!! Highly recommend!!!
