6 months ago I took my 12 year old for yet another eye exam, but this time with Dr Hoyle @Advanced Eye Care. After confirming she could see fine she was quickly able to diagnose her with something that no other eye Dr or specialist had been able to do. I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am for her, Dr Barker, and the team at Sightworks. After being diagnosed with ADHD in 3rd grade, even with accommodations and interventions she was still struggling. She is a smart kid so we were perplexed. Covid opened my eyes to many things, but mostly having her home for 2 years was what we both needed to get a handle on her learning frustrations. After learning, that her blurred vision, skipping words and sentences as well as her continued struggle with visual memory was indeed not normal along with the help of Sightworks we had a plan in place to get better. No one would have ever guessed she was below average in depth perception as she is a great athlete. I even heard those comments when I told a small few what was going on. She worked diligently daily on her exercises. She wanted school to be easier for her. I can see a huge improvement when we read together. I am so excited for her reentering school in person this fall. I truly believe the cost of therapy will be paying off big time for her. Thank you so much to the staff at Sightworks for giving my girl her confidence back.
