Tucked into a once-bustling strip mall, Helping The Orphans Thrift Store directly funds The Orphans of Kenya Project, a Christian missionary charity. While the store’s inventory is generally underwhelming, it’s worth an occasional visit for the odd or novel find. Service runs the gamut from brusque to friendly.
I went on a Tuesday there and the lady replacing the shelves and the cashier were really nice and pleasant. I got 3 hiking pants, 1 winter boot and a sweater. I walked out there really glad.
Great prices, can usually find good stuff. Can be a bit hit or miss. They have a punch card, one punch for every $10 spent then 20% off an entire purchase when card is full. Staff is friendly enough and there's not often a wait at checkout. There are several locations of this store in the Fayetteville area.
