10 month update:
I got my third stripe on my white belt last night and I cannot stress enough how incredibly grateful I am to be apart of this family. The decision to join changed the entire trajectory of my life and has given to me a pathway to find the best version of myself. If you happen to read this and are contemplating joining, just do it. You’ve already made your first friend! Come find me on any given Monday night and we’ll figure it out together! If you’re worried you won’t be any good or that you’ll make a fool of yourself, I’m 10 months in and I’m still not any good and make a fool of myself every Monday night, but I’m having a blast the whole time! Just like every black, brown, purple, blue, and white belt did before me. Just get in the door and I promise you will not regret it!“
