About Pinehurst Surgical Clinic at Richmond Hospital
Pinehurst Surgical Clinic at Richmond Hospital provides specialized surgical care for a wide range of medical conditions, serving patients in Central North Carolina and parts of South Carolina. The clinic is noted for its dedicated staff and skilled surgeons, including Dr. Williams and Dr. Anton Vlaslov, who are praised for their informative and supportive approach. Patients have reported positive experiences, with successful surgeries and remarkable outcomes, such as achieving 20/20 vision after LASIK. However, not all experiences have been perfect. One patient faced a distressing situation during an MRI appointment, as they were misinformed about the type of machine used. Despite the anxiety caused by this experience, the patient acknowledged the professionalism of the staff involved. Overall, while many patients commend the clinic for its surgical expertise and attentive care, there is a call for improved communication regarding procedures to ensure a more comfortable experience for all patients.
Dr. Williams and his staff was really good to me. Any questions that I needed answer they did it. They went in and repair 2 disc, placed the hardware and I'm recovery really well. Went for my 3 week check up and Chad said everything looked really well. Looking forward to the up coming months.
I can't say enough. Dr. Anton Vlaslov knocked it out of the park. Very humble and he did not want to over promise and under deliver. His team and him were fantastic, very informative and explained everything. Lasik was a breeze and fast. In the end I went from 20/150 to 20/20 and he over delivered by a mile. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I've been wanting to get this done for 25 years and every other doctor said it wasn't possible.🙏 He stepped up to the challenge and delivered.
I went for an MRI today and the person who contacted me before the appt. asked if I was claustrophobic I said yes with bad anxiety. She proceeds to tell me I’ll be fine because it’s an open MRI. IT WAS NOT AN OPEN MRI! I literally thought I was going to die in that machine! I was shaking so bad, I was sweating horribly and my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I had a panic attack the entire time. I tried to focus on my breathing so I wouldn’t completely loose it and start hyperventilating uncontrollably. I thought I was going to pass out. If I knew that it wasn’t open I would have prepared by taking something to calm me down. This was an awful experience! I am Absolutley traumatized and never want to do a scan again! The two ladies in the room were great but this was absolutely terrifying for me! I do still recommend because many of the staff and drs are great but please if someone can educate in staff calling patients the difference between a regular MRI and an open MRI and to not inform patients that they are getting an open when it’s actually not.
