My review in one word: LOVE! In more words... I have always struggled with my hair and have never truly felt in love with the way I looked -- that is until I met Joemary! I will be the first to say this sounds cheesy, but I have genuinely never felt more gorgeous. As a woman of color, having those dream waterfall curls that cascade down your neck and back always seemed like something I would never be able to have myself. I have been keratin treating my hair for several years now to keep my hair relatively straight and my curl pattern under control (I'm naturally a 4C). I have had extensions in the past and I *thought I was happy with them -- but I NOW understand the difference high-quality hair makes. If you have never had extensions of any length before, you need to be prepared for it to be an investment: not just in the $$ of the hair, but the every day wear. If you want to get the most out of your hair, you'll want to invest in the salon-quality shampoos, heat protectant and styling sprays. TRUST ME! I have tried to find dupes in drug stores, but ultimately there is nothing that will protect your hair like the products at Salon Eden. You'll also want to make sure you are brushing out your extensions and wearing a protective hairstyle to sleep! I personally also like to use a silk head wrap to keep my hair from getting tangled or rubbing on my cotton sheets. Joemary and her staff were incredibly kind, caring and gentle! In the past, I've had stylists at other salons PULL at my scalp or place beads way too close to my scalp which led to irritation -- I'm very happy nothing like this happened and the extensions didn't hurt at all! I felt as though I was truly listened to throughout my consultation. I came in with shoulder-length dark brown hair with a lot of stress breakage on my sides. After talking with Joemary, we decided to go a little darker to help color match with the extensions. I'm SO glad we did! Joemary also layered my extensions perfectly to hide my breakage and give me coverage around my face and everything blends seamlessly. Joemary walked me through every step as we went along, so nothing came as a surprise and I'm so incredibly pleased with my results! All in all, these extensions have given me confidence I never dreamed I could have. If you're looking for volume, length, and to give your natural hair a break from heat -- this is a great solution! Jennifer did an awesome job cutting my hair today and was super sweet. I had relatively long, thick, curly/wavy hair and cut it super short for the first time ever. I love it!
