I would like to share my experience. We had to fly with a cat from the United States to another country. Under current regulations, this required obtaining an international health certificate endorsed by the USDA.
I will not go into how awful the process of obtaining this certificate in the U.S. actually is. I will not talk about the fact that receiving countries changed their timelines and requirements long ago, while the U.S. continues to use outdated ones. I will not mention that this process has nothing to do with veterinary or infection-prevention standards and is designed solely to extract money from citizens. I will also not mention that at airports not a single employee knows what these documents are supposed to look like—they don’t even review them, they just make a copy.
I will only say this: the first certificate we ordered from this clinic for transporting one cat cost us $950. We never received it because FedEx lost it during delivery. The second one cost us $350, and we didn’t receive it either because it was not delivered on time, despite having paid for overnight shipping. As a result, we had to postpone our flight (four segments that cost us over $4,000).
We ordered the certificate for the third time, and once again it did not arrive on time, despite paid overnight delivery. We were forced to go to the USDA office and demand the certificate in person. In total, I spent eight hours in their office the day before departure.
I have no complaints specifically about the clinic doctor, Mary—she is a professional. However, the entire clinic–USDA–client interaction system is built so poorly and unprofessionally that I lost more than $5,000 as a result, which of course no one will reimburse.
Therefore, my complaint to the clinic is this: either fix your processes or stop selling the international health certificate service altogether. If I had any ability to influence this process, I would have chosen a different path. But you provide no alternatives—only take money. And thank you for canceling my $336 claim. I hope you made enough money from me to be happy.

My daughter and son-in-law take their pets to Armadale, and they recommended me to Armadale Animal Hospital, and now my pets go there. They are always excellent, every doctor, and they make us feel like family. I recently lost my cat to cancer, and was so sad through the process, and the veterinarians at Armadale Animal Hospital were always there for me when I had questions. When I had to finally say goodbye to my dear cat, the doctors could not have been more gracious with their service and care. They took a difficult time for me and my family and made it as personal and caring and loving as possible. They are a one of a kind hospital. So grateful.

Was recommended this place as an alternative to my veterinary. They are an active thriving animal hospital that has medical equipment in house that other vets do not. They have more open hours then other vets and more Drs on staff.

I’ve been bringing my husky to Armadale for the past five years and have always had positive experiences—until my most recent visit. Unfortunately, this appointment was very disappointing. The visit was for vaccines, an annual exam, and concerns regarding a possible UTI. The veterinarian barely examined my dog and appeared uncomfortable handling her, which was concerning. He seemed scared of her honestly. Given the cost of exam fees, it was especially disappointing that my dog was barely touched during the exam. When I asked routine questions about vaccines, I felt judged and interrogated rather than supported. As of now, I still have not received the results of her blood work. I left feeling unheard and disappointed, which was surprising given my years of trust in this clinic.

Dr Fuelling was very intentional in getting all the information possible for our elder cat. He and the staff are always very helpful and provide exceptional care.

I am a customer since 1997. Care is great. However, since they became corporate the cost for exams and vaccinations have doubled and tripled. Fancy names like wellness exam, include more than I want. It appears that there is a degree of upselling. Also, there are now so many doctors that I loose track of who I see. The reward program new. I would rather not accumulate points and get lower rates.

I’ve been extremely happy with the doctors and staff at Armadale over the years and would highly recommend them to any of my friends looking for a new veterinarian practice.

Such a great practice! I can't say enough about how helpful and caring all the staff and doctors are. The urgent care hours a huge plus, also!

We just moved into town and needed a new vet to replace our prior vet of 23 years. Like you all, I googled, and I came up with many choices from the Google ad-driven search engine, so I was stuck. Then I ran into a neighbor with my same breed of dog and asked him if he had thoughts, and he said we absolutely needed to go to Armadale PH. So we did, and they are indeed a great outfit. Our vet spent over an hour with us in a “new patient” eval, then sent us a long follow-up email. I’m happy I took the personal advice from my neighbor.
