We had Robertson Heating and Cooling install 2 mini splits this summer. Our very old AC went out. I had 12 different heating and cooling places turned me down (due to our attic being very hard to access). When I had Robertson out they talked me through the mini split and we decided to go for it because 1)it provided supplemental heat to our furnace 2) the cost and install were significantly less then a new AC system would be and 3) it addressed the dead zones in our home where a room would stay really cold, etc. Install was great and everyone involved worked really hard to make sure it was aesthetically pleasing as it could be outside and everything was kept clean during the install. We used the mini splits for 10 months and loved them! Then suddenly, the larger unit went out. We had Robinson out to take a look and it was mice. Mice had destroyed the wiring inside the unit and it wasn't salvageable. For all their strengths the mini-split "brains" aren't very protected and the small space and wiring attracts vermin. It was looking like we were going to have to replace the unit completely but in the end Dan, who talked us through the system and headed up our install was able to get the mini split company to replace our unit with a model that was being updated/replaced. Robinson replaced the unit and got everything running again at no cost. My husband built a cage for both of our mini-splits that were hoping keeps the critters away. Overall, the units are wonderful and I highly recommend them as long as you know ahead of time that they do need lots of added protection. I recommend Robinson H&C and would do business with them again.
We had an excellent experience with Robertson’s when our AC started having trouble this week. They came out same day at exactly the time we were told, and provided thorough and efficient service in a cost effective manner. They’ve got a customer for life out of us!
Excellent customer service provided by Michael in a efficient and professional manner! He came out and was able to quickly assess the issue with our AC and have it resolved within the hour. Wonderful locally owned family business that we highly recommend!
