“We booked our dog at Wickersham’s K-9 Ranch over the New Year holiday, and we highly recommend them! Because we were coming from out of state (FL), they worked hard to accommodate us for dropping off Maddie. They showered Maddie with love and attention on her first day due a mix-up on her Bordatella vaccine that kept Maddie isolated from other dogs; recommended a local vet for administering the vaccine; and incorporated Maddie into the group afterwards. They showed commitment to the well-being of all the dogs in their care.They provided a fantastic experience for Maddie, who is VERY social! From the pics we saw on the Facebook page, Maddie was in the thick of the fun with all of her new best friends. She enjoyed exercise and socialization throughout her stay.The dog who came home was quite different in some wonderful ways: Maddie is a rescue and displays some nervousness at being left or separated from her people; she also can be a little hesitant to meet new people. Both of these traits basically disappeared during her stay. When we returned from her vet appointment, she did not display any reluctance to return to the Ranch, eagerly greeting the staff again (especially Riley!). She loped off after the other dogs for some play time w/o any anxiety.Since we picked her up and returned home, she behaves well, has matured (she’s just over 2 years old), is calmer, is quicker to obey, and shows a greater openness to meeting strangers on our walks in the neighborhood.Our experience with, and Maddie’s stay at Wickersham’s K-9 Ranch was an exceptionally positive experience for all involved. We look forward to returning on future visits to the Charlotte area … and so does Maddie!“
