“I will be a new patient for Dr Kern. In making my appointment, I found a friendly and very helpful staff member that took time to get my appointment set, and communicated in a knowledgeable manner.“

“I went for an MRI today and the person who contacted me before the appt. asked if I was claustrophobic I said yes with bad anxiety. She proceeds to tell me I’ll be fine because it’s an open MRI. IT WAS NOT AN OPEN MRI! I literally thought I was going to die in that machine! I was shaking so bad, I was sweating horribly and my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. I had a panic attack the entire time. I tried to focus on my breathing so I wouldn’t completely loose it and start hyperventilating uncontrollably. I thought I was going to pass out. If I knew that it wasn’t open I would have prepared by taking something to calm me down. This was an awful experience! I am Absolutley traumatized and never want to do a scan again! The two ladies in the room were great but this was absolutely terrifying for me! I do still recommend because many of the staff and drs are great but please if someone can educate in staff calling patients the difference between a regular MRI and an open MRI and to not inform patients that they are getting an open when it’s actually not.“

“I first went to Carolina Spine Clinic in 2023 and was seen by Dr Ryan Aschenbrener, MD . I had fell and could hardly walk . Dr Aschenbrener treated me in a way that let me know he really cared for me as a person .He g started giving me injections in my back to try and improve my pain and my quality of life . He was my hero !! The injections worked up until December of 2023 . That is when Dr Aschenbrener decided it was time for me to see a surgeon . He recommended Dr Daniel Williams at Pinehurst Surgical Clinic . Dr Williams performed my surgery on January 31 , 2024 . This is the best decision I’ve made , and it was because of Dr Ryan Aschenbrener help and encouragement all the way …. I highly recommend Dr Aschenbrener! In my book he is the BEST.
