He earned his medical degree from the UNC School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Maryland, along with a sports medicine fellowship at East Carolina University. He is board certified in internal medicine. Born and raised in eastern North Carolina, he takes pride in his roots and enjoys spending time with family, supporting collegiate athletics, and hunting with his father. Patients consistently praise Dr. Moore for his attentiveness, kindness, and thorough approach. His staff is known for being friendly, professional, and accommodating, making appointments smooth and efficient from check-in to check-out. Support team members, including lab and radiology staff, are appreciated for their helpfulness and pleasant demeanor. Even when busy, Dr. Moore remains patient and attentive, ensuring patients feel cared for and respected. If he cannot help with a problem, he makes sure to find another group that can. Dr. Moore and his staff were excellent. They clarified a question I had about why I came in and provided treatment on the spot. He communicated the updated condition to my GP. He also explained my next option should the initial treatment not prove effective. They were very professional and respectful toward my concerns and I left with no questions or uncertainty about my options for further treatment. The entire staff members are professional, courtesy, and friendly. Dr. Joel Moore is very tentative and gives excellent advice on your healthcare and questions. I would highly recommend Physicians East.
My experiences were and have always been great. Doesn’t matter who works with you on Dr Moore’s staff they always do a great job and in a professional and friendly manner. I don’t want to get ill but if I do I’ll head to Physicians East to see Dr J. Moore.
