I was a referral from the VA and I have been seeing Dr. Headen. I think he is great and I am very happy so far with my visits. He listens, we talk about my issues, and he doesn't look down at me when I talk about my issues. Every person is different and has different expectations from our Counselors but I feel that Dr. Headen is meeting my expectations so far. I would definately recommend him and Simplicity Counseling.

I have been going to Simplicity for quite awhile, and I love it. Everyone there is very friendly and professional. Deane is the absolute best, and I have recommended her to many people. I love when people call me after going and say it’s not like on tv. It is so comfortable there. Deane has helped me work through many problems I have struggled with. I never felt judged, and I feel completely comfortable and relaxed talking to her. She is supportive, and when I need to be seen more frequently or as soon as possible, she makes it happen. She has helped me so much. Another thing that I love about her is that she is keeps things real, and I really respect that!

This place had promise for us at first but we were soon very disappointed with the marriage counseling we were seeking. Michael seemed to be bored and distracted and didn’t offer any tools or resources to take home with us after a session. He gave us questionnaires to fill out and return to him but he did nothing with them. The last straw was when we were in a session and their receptionist went home sick and he proceeded to answer every call that came in. He took 5 calls during our one hour session. He would cut us off mid sentence to answer the call and then couldn’t remember what we were talking about. I do not recommend him as a counselor.
