The studio has everything you need and the environment is relaxed and nonjudgmental to gain skills at your own pace. The price of classes and studio time is reasonable.
I took the Introductory class and it was amazing! Jeff was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable.. I will definitely be taking more classes here.
My spouse and I thoroughly enjoyed both the Intro to Clay and Intro to Wheel classes. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable in both the creative/psychomotor aspects of pottery and the underlying physical/chemical processes. I would recommend Piedmont Pottery to anyone who is curious about the art form. I consider those classes to have been of excellent value for the cost.
I recently took a hand building class and it was my first experience using clay. I learned so much that I don’t think I would have learned if I tried to do it on my own. Jeff was wonderful, helpful and encouraging while giving me plenty of space to just try things out and see where I landed. I’m going to take another class soon. Their shop portion is beautiful as well! I would definitely check it out for a unique and special gift for someone. It’s a little slice of awesome in a cookie cutter world.
