We have a very old house (100+ years) that was left empty for some time. Initially we hired a painter for the exterior that quit before finishing one wall. We hired another painter for $3200 and they finished the job in 3 days. My problem with them is that they didn't repair any rotten wood and they used sprayers getting paint all over our window screens and windows. Additionally the paint turned yellow in spots and quickly began peeling in the first year. When we received and estimate from Garners painting, we thought it was a bit high and even had to wait for a time to have enough money to complete the job. However, when they came to work it was obvious they were professional. They were on time, polite, didn't stand around, and worked all day even in 100 degree weather! They found and replaced a lot of rotten wood, scraped many areas down to bare wood, caulked, primed, and painted two coats by hand! It took them four weeks to do the work and I was actually worried they would lose money on my house. It was a true lesson that you get what you pay for. Our home is back to her original beauty and we are very happy with the end product. We definitely got our moneys worth. Thanks to Kirk, Troy, and the rest of the crew....we appreciate you!
