About The Currituck Club
The Currituck Club is a semi-private golf course located on a beautiful coastal stretch, designed by the renowned Rees Jones. The 18-hole championship course offers a challenging yet enjoyable experience, featuring a mix of maritime forests and shoreline. Many players appreciate the engaging layout and good variety of holes, with wide landing areas that accommodate different skill levels, making it suitable for weekend golfers. The course is well-maintained, with soft, fast greens and immaculate bunkers that enhance the golfing experience. Recently, visitors noted that the course was in great shape for the time of year and offered good value, especially considering the quality of the course compared to the price. While some reviews mentioned that the pace of play can be slow, with front nine taking around three hours and the back over two hours, others found the overall experience enjoyable despite these delays. There were reports of crowded holes, including four foursomes on the same hole at once, and a lack of a ranger to help manage the pace. Some players also expressed dissatisfaction with the carts, which were rusted and lacked GPS, especially given the high price charged. Staff members received positive comments for being friendly and helpful, though some reviews indicated that service at the bar and beverage cart was inconsistent. Despite the mix of experiences, The Currituck Club remains a solid choice for golfers seeking a scenic, challenging round, with the potential for a memorable day on the course.
Kevin in the pro shop is the pinnacle of service. I work at a TPC and he took care of us the way I had expect my staff to do so. Big props to, Kevin. Thank you for everything. Will most certainly be back.
A must-play when visiting OBX. It's a little pricey and the back 9 is definitely more impressive than the front nine. Course was in great condition when I was there in late August. The staff/starter were very friendly and welcoming.
Played golf twice during our stay in Corolla. The course is a great layout and was in excellent condition. On the first day we played, it took over five hours and we waited on every tee box. I was hopeful that the marshall would help, but like so many clubs, they just apologize. The second round was much more enjoyable and pace of play was better.
