“This is my “go to” store for products. These people ARE NOT RACIST! They speak very little English but have always been friendly, cordial and helpful. When people don’t give the immediate responses you expect, the first thing cried out is racist. I’ve been shopping there since the store opened. They readily recognize me when I come in the store. They smile and acknowledge me. Always ending my transaction with “thank you.” We laugh and have fun while checking out and have just that brief interaction until I come again. Asian people are not chatty especially when they have little English speaking skills. They’re an older couple. He isn’t as talkative as his wife but sometimes he can get quite animated. Don’t be so quick to holler racism until you get the full picture. Give folks the benefit of the doubt before you frame the situation. Sometimes that claim can be misconstrued where we also can be considered racist. Do not get it twisted.“
