“My name is Richard Anderson and like Brett, I was in the Marine Corps. I did not suffer as badly as he but 30 years of intense work and hard physical exercise took its toll. I wound up with neck surgery, knee surgery, surgery for appendicitis and surgery for a nearly amputated thumb. All of these conspired with my thousands of miles of marching, hiking and running to give me neuropathy in several body areas. I told Brett that it wouldn't be long now before I would be driving my wife's Miata again. We are talking about a stick shift, so this a major progression after not driving for almost a year.
