I have been going to KM Salon for a very long time. The most amazing staff around! I go to Karla and she knows how to cut my thick wavy hair so that it always looks good. The relationships you build allow you to completely trust their advice; it feels like family. I have also had Allie, Stephanie and Carrie work on my hair and they are equally amazing. Once you enter the salon you are transported into an industrial and eclectic atmosphere ... the staff is friendly and helpful and David is certainly a magician with color and cut !! He is honest, but not to a fault and genuinely interested in the outcome of your hair and the manner in which you glow when the work is completed !! It is pricey, but no more than other salons which do not supply the same outcome ! The only tip is to get an appt early... he is always very busy !!
I was in town for a wedding, staying at a hotel nearby, and saw they were within walking distance of this salon. I called on a Friday and was able to get an appointment for the next morning a few hours after I was scheduled to fly in. Very spacious, open, airy space conveniently located in Charlotte's South End district. It was fairly quiet for a Saturday at 11:30a. Just two stylists in the shop. My stylist said they're still only half-staffing since Covid and with so many clients working from home, Saturday's are not the super busy days they used to be! So I scheduled a blow-out (wash/blow dry/style) so my hair would look well done for the wedding. Kerry, my stylist, was great. She was honest, straightforward, and tried every which way from Sunday to get my abysmally straight fine hair to do something, anything, other than lay flat on my scalp. We landed on an up-do when the "wear it down" options didn't go as planned. My hair sucks, so I did appreciate the valiant effort and I was pleased with the end result. Thank you, Kerry!
