Dr Greenman and the staff at Greenman Eye Associates are wonderful! Recently developed a cataract in my left eye and needed surgery to replace my lens and get my vision back. Dr Greenman was recommended to me by a friend and my primary doctor also confirmed that this is the place to go. Dr Max recently retired, but his twin sons are carrying on the practice. Dr Herb is super professional and easy. Since I was on the "younger" end to develop cataracts, the whole process was a little unnerving but I'm so glad and happy with the care I received here. I was able to take advantage of a surgery cancellation so it was a super quick process. The staff really worked with me and getting all of my paperwork and insurance stuff ready. The surgery took place next door. Outpatient surgery and a week worth of sleeping with an eye cover, my left eye is doing great- but now I can tell my right has cataracts too... I'll have to do the same to my right eye in about a year so it's comforting to know I have Dr Herb in my corner to continue my eye care.
Dr. Herb and Dr. Dave are superb doctors I saw Dr. Dave for an exam and glasses earlier this year. My vision is very bad and I had been contemplating surgery. I knew LASIK wasn't an option because of my prescription and corneas. I got some pamphlets from Dr. Herb to take home.A few months later I decided to see Dr. Herb to discuss my options. We talked about my lifestyle and what was important to me. Because my case was more complex than most, he had me in for several measurements to ensure accuracy. Dr. Herb was meticulous and explained the pros and cons of the lenses he could put in my eye. We agreed on the Symfony lens and scheduled my clear lens exchange surgery for my dominant eye first. The day after my first surgery, my distance vision was 20/20! My prescription had been -9.50 with an astigmatism. The same was true of my right wye after having surgery on that one a month later. Dr. Herb checked each eye several times to ensure the lens was perfectly centered and that I was healing well. I strongly recommend seeing Greenman Eye Associates for any of your vision needs. I was treated well by the staff and the doctors. After seeing a few different eye doctors after moving to North Carolina, I have found the right people. No hard upsells, just great care centered around the patient. I won't go anywhere else!
I have been a patient of Dr. Max since I was 8 years old. In the 29 years I have had him as my eye doctor I have never had an issues. Once his sons finished school they opened Greenman eye associates and if I can't get in with Dr. Max, I do not worry about trusting Herb or Dave with my eyes. I know they had a good teacher in there father. As for people complaining about 2 hour wait times, I have never experienced that. I normally have a 15-20 minute wait before they take me back to do eye pressure exam, which is always interesting. Then maybe another 10 minutes before I am taken to exam room. I have an appointment this week and look forward to seeing everyone!
