Atrium Health Carolinas Rehabilitation Pediatric Therapy

We have only had positive experiences here. My daughter broke her elbow and had surgery with pins to put it back in place. Once she was healed enough we came here with hopes of improving her range of motion. The PT was very gentle with her, never pushed her too hard (which was the surgeon's concern with PT), and remembers every detail of her life that my daughter tells her. The staff are friendly, helpful, polite and kind, and the place couldn't be cleaner. Someone is constantly disinfecting something. My daughters range of motion has improved dramatically in just 5 visits. I couldn't be more pleased with the care and treatment.

If I could rate this less than one star I would. This office fails to tell you that you will be billed as an outpatient hospital visit simply because this facility is attached to the hospital. If you go to another facility (not the hospital) and receive the same therapy, you are billed at a lower rate. I was given a form that listed my insurance benefits (which states they verified my insurance) and they wrote I would be paying for my co-pay (not unmet deductible) for each visit. However, I later received the bill which stated I was being billed at the outpatient hospital rate instead of my co-pay, which is nearly three times what my co-pay is. Please do not use this practice. I was referred here by my pediatrician for speech therapy for my daughter. Their prices are four times what other speech therapy practices in the area cost. They were asking $200 per session. I went elsewhere and was given a price of $55 per session. They made it very difficult to attain the evaluation they did for my daughter so I could take it to another practice. I have suffered a week of high anxiety due to the treatment I received at this practice.
