Rob does amazing work and we are lucky to have a few of his works of art. The time he has spent sharing, teaching, and his life stories alone are worth the visit. One of the greatest finds on our annual trip to this area. Pictured my wife and Rob after a lesson. Thank you!
Rob was so kind when we stopped by this past weekend! He talked us through what was for sale in his shop and even showed us around his studio when I mentioned I was a newbie potter. I got this beautiful, reasonably priced vase from him, can’t wait to use it. Highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area!
Drove from McCaysville, GA. Google Maps hours said it was open and the sign in the window when we arrived said Open, but doors were locked and no one answered when we knocked. We aren't having any luck finding handmade local pottery. We are looking to add to our collection. An art gallery shop owner in Blue Ridge said many of the pottery shops closed down during the pandemic and never reopened. We are finding that many pottery stores on Google Maps are no longer at locations and permanently closed.
Thank you for your response.
We are headed to Dahlonega, GA today. If it's not too far out of our way we will try to stop by today new year's day. Happy New Year!
