Amanda is very talented and very kind and personable. I recently moved here and went to Amanda, upon recommendation, to cut my longer hair into a very short style. She did an amazing job and continues to keep it looking wonderful. Amanda gives very personalized attention to her customers. She only has one client chair so she is always focused on one client at a time, no one person getting their hair washed, one under the drier, while she cuts another. I highly recommend Amanda and The Beauty Barn!

The Beauty Barn, snugly tucked away in rural Benson, is Johnston County's best-kept beauty secret! Don't let its small size fool you; it's proof that great things come in tiny packages. This custom-built, state of the art salon is super clean, bright, cheerful and home to one of North Carolina's most talented hairstylists. Amanda has been my stylist since 2004! If she moved to different salons I followed her, and am thrilled that she now owns her own salon. I'll never trust anyone else with my hair, and you shouldn't either. You will never find better customer service anywhere in this state. She treats every customer's hair as if it's her own. My hair was stubborn and contrary when I started going gray and needed color treatments. It wouldn't take brown (my natural color) or black dye, and bleaching dried it out. Amanda created a custom color-mix that turns out flawless each and every time - and without damaging it. People often stop me in public and compliment me on my one-of-a-kind red hair! Need a special 'do for your wedding or prom? Amanda will spiff you right up. Got hair somewhere you don't want it? She'll take care of that too.Beauty Barn prices can't be beat.. A big-name salon in Raleigh charged me $300 (way back in 2004!) for the same job just because I have long hair - and they're the ones who couldn't get my color right and damaged it. Thank goodness I found Amanda!If you want to rock a head of hair, long beautiful hair, shining, streaming, waxen flaxen that can fly in the breeze and get caught in the trees.....
