Rude and condescending staff, I felt more like a hindrance than a client, I was made to feel stupid about my concern I had and also my questions... im not a tax agent, that is why I filed through H&R block for over a decade and this experience at this location will not suffice, I may look for an alternative for next season. I had to give a 1 star in order to leave a review.... only reason it got a star. Very disappointing.

I have been doing my taxes for 20+ years, and a number of those times were with other H&R locations. Every other time I've done my taxes, the accountant would sit with me to ask questions, so I could get the best return. Being new to the province I would have appreciated information about the new brunswick tax process or information on how to better prepare for next year's taxes. No such information was given, and I was hesitant to ask for such help do to the intimidating desk attendent who seemed agitated from the second I walked in to drop off papers. I went to H&R block Sussex in February to file my taxes paid them 101$ to e-file them for me and come to find out they were never filed. So July and I called the government to find out why I did not get my child tax benefit and they said it was because I never filed my 2017 taxes. I tried calling H&R Block and left a voicemail as they were closed. No call back. When I finally got in contact they apologized and assured me they sent it in that day and in August I would have my Child tax benefit along with my letter of assessment. She had also said that she attempted to call me back however, with call display I assured her she did not. I called the government today to double check as my faith in the company has gone out the window. This is no longer shocking but I will not be receiving my Child tax benefit in August either. Fully disgusted as back to school for my son is right around the corner. I am so disappointed that a company as big as H&R block is that careless when they are representing hard working people. I will never step foot in H&R block again due to their lack of resolution for their mess up. I have been filing my taxes there for over 10 years and you have lost a customer.
