I called for a plumbing job and I was asked where I work, if I own the house I live in, and asked twice if I was sure I would be able to pay the paltry dollars to fix my toilet once the job was done.
Called from work to get them to fix a tenant's sink where I work. She asked me where I was and I said Ontario. They, of course, are in NB. She said they wouldn't do anything for us since we didn't live there because of issues with payment. I told her we always pay our bills...we have a very good reputation in NB and was going to offer to give a Visa, but she cut me off and said they couldn't help us. Very rude, unprofessional and what's generally wrong with the world. Unbelievable.
