About The Salvation Army Thrift Store
The Salvation Army Thrift Store is a part of a national charitable organization that offers a variety of secondhand goods, including clothing, accessories, housewares, home decor, footwear, and electronics for all sizes and ages. As a student from Leo Hayes, working at this store can provide a meaningful way to engage with the community. The staff are known to be friendly and helpful. The store is generally clean and well-organized. However, there are no changing rooms available for customers to try on clothes, and returns are only accepted as exchanges, without the option of receiving a refund. This policy may lead to inconvenience for some customers. Additionally, some customers have noted that the prices at this particular store are higher compared to other Salvation Army locations or even other thrift stores. Specifically, button-up shirts are priced at $8.99, and some long-sleeved shirts are sold for $14.99. As a result, some customers may choose to donate to or shop at other thrift stores that better align with their expectations for thrift store pricing.
Always friendly staff, who engage in conversation about the things Im purchasing, which I find very welcome and friendly. CDs are an amazing price, highly recommend if you’re a collector.
I love having a part time job here! Working as a student from leo hayes, helps young people be more interactive with the community with Incredible staff that will always be happy to help and assist.
The store is relatively well organized and clean, the staff have been polite with me, however when I went there to buy some clothes for myself, spent a solid 30 minutes looking through and had about 10 items in my cart to try on, I was informed that there are no changing rooms to try clothes on and if I return an item I do not get my money back but I have to exchange it, so I can't check if the clothes fit me before buying it, I have to try them at home and return them if they don't fit but I don't get my money back. I returned every item except one and left. It was a waste of time. This is the first Salvation Army I ever went to that does not allow you to try on clothes....read full review
