-10 stars. Highly don’t recommend to try to look at the clothing.
I was looking for a birthday outfit and I found something i liked so i asked how much it is. I was immediately asked to leave the store without a reason. I had a service animal with me. My service animal remained calm and neutral. It was his first time experiencing something like this.
The store was rude, unprofessional, had an negative attitude, poor customer service skills, didn’t want to listen to me.
He told security he wanted me to leave due to i had a bag. Well, my tote bag stores my service animal documentation, other documentation, NB Human Rights Act for service animal guidelines, other personal things.
That’s what security cameras and security is for loss prevention and other crime, but i wasn’t there to steal anything. I asked a simple question to ask how much the dress is to buy it if it was affordable.
I offered to show documentation for my service animal letter and information about guidelines for service animals in the NB Human Rights Act. The store refused to listen to anything i had said.
The store called security. The store assumed i am offering a donation to him, when i was providing to showcase my service animal letter but the store refused to try to read it. The security didn’t know what to do in that situation, so security called the mall manager.
The manager said to me it is up to the store to have me leave the store. I said no it isn’t. It’s discrimination to have me leave the store since i’m not being accommodated up to undue hardship due to i have my service animal with me.
Communication is a 2 way street and it was an awful experience for me.
