I wish I would have read the reviews before going to Dr. Benner. I got up from my appointment and walked out. I don't need my doctor yelling at me and making me feel bad. I was a new patient and he didn't even introduce himself to me when he walked through the door. He definitely needs a class on bedside manners.

Ronald Benner is also president of the AOA, a lobbyist, and stopped millions from accessing contact lenses at a reasonable price from the UK just to line his pocket. Unsurprisingly he also overcharges in his private practice. Don’t go here.

*UPDATE* They wanted to charge me 45 dollars to tell me my pupil distance for a piece of equipment I needed. They already had it on file, I already paid for the test, but the girl at the counter said "Dr Benner requires a $45 dollar fee for me to give you that information." Highly judgmental, and hostile. Told me he has seen children who acted better with him when I was nervous about him getting too close to my eye. I have high anxiety, and warned him first, and he still went out of his way to make me feel humiliated for "wasting his valuable time" as he put it. If I could rate this in the negatives, I would.
