Left an integral part of the heating system, that they Installed in my home, out! I asked George no less than three times to finish the job and he agreed to, but never showed up. I went to their place of business and spoke to a "Brandi" she stated that the bid the builder agreed to didn't include a condensation pump, now when I use the A/C my utility room floods with water. Integrity is not in there vocabulary.

Universal Mechanical does not stand behind their work. They installed a Mitsubishi split air conditioner unit in my home in May 2019. The unit failed to start when we turned it on around June 21, 2022. When Universal Mechanical told me that it would be over a month before they could make a service call, I had our electrician inspect the unit. He discovered that the unit had failed because of faulty wiring during installation, which had gradually worn through the insulation on a wire, causing it to short. I called Universal Mechanical again on June 23, informed them that the issue was caused by their faulty installation, and asked them to repair their error. They told me they would not service the unit before July 28. I emailed the owner, Jerry Waters, attaching photos of the faulty wiring and asking him to send a technician to repair the short caused by his company's faulty installation issue. Mr. Waters did not respond to my email so I hired another HVAC contractor to repair the unit. They confirmed that the short had resulted in a blown fuse within the unit. They repaired the faulty wiring and replaced the fuse. I then emailed Mr. Waters again, informing him of the above and asking him to pay 50% of the $650 I had spent. He did not respond to that email either. I have filed a complaint with BBB.

Called these guys and they were out at my place the next day. I thought I was going to need a new furnace and was ready to spend a ton of money. Ended up just needing some work done to my current furnace and they ran some new ducts, put in a new thermostat and it all works great! So they really saved me a ton!Services: Heating system repair
