The two doctors I saw, Jody Fink and Kyle McMurray, were incapable of getting me a pair of glasses for computer use. For six months, I had the wrong pair of glasses, which made me strain my eyes, leading to developing dry eye, a chronic condition that's a nuisance. They gave me four pairs of glasses that didn't work, so I finally went to another optometrist who got me glasses in ten days. In other words, the new doctor I went to was able to do in ten days (like any optometrist minimally competent could do) what Fink and McMurray couldn't do in six months. In fact, they wouldn't have ever been able to get me the glasses because they told me not to return after I complained when the fourth pair didn't work. I cried during my last visits; that's how desperate I was. My wife told me I was an idiot for returning time after time, but since I had gone there for years, I assumed that the doctors would finally get it right. Thanks to my neighbor's suggestion, I ended up going to the board of optometry and filed a complaint. One of the things I wrote in my letter to the board was that these doctors made me lose six months of my life and due to their incompetency I came down with dry eye, which they couldn't treat either. The reason why the glasses didn't work was that they insisted I use "office space lenses" instead of progressives, which I always had used and most people use. They weren't able to figure something like this out. My new doctor told me that he doesn't prescribe office space lenses because they're problematic; they don't work for many patients. My experience with the doctors at Advanced Eyecare, as well as with the staff and especially the opticians who implied that it was my fault that the glasses didn't work, was a nightmare. I went to a lawyer to ask if I could take this matter to court, but she told me that it wasn't worth it because the doctors could always make it seem that it was my word against theirs. I hope that no one else has to go through what I did.

Had a terrific eye check-up with Dr. McMurray & Amy (tech) on July 10th. I had the Dry Eye Treatment done about a year ago & this was a check-up to see if the treatment has maintained. I am happy to say that this really worked for me & I highly recommend it. I also have my eyes tested yearly for damage that my medications may cause; they are so caring & thorough with all the tests. I don't need/wear glasses yet but I have trusted my eye care to Dr. McMurray for over 40 years & wouldn't go to anyone else!

I saw Dr Kyle McMurray and Tech Amy yesterday. My visits to Advanced Eyecare are always pleasant experiences! They are friendly and very professional! Thank you Advanced Eyecare!
