We love Old Works! The course is in exceptional condition this last week of the season! All staff are on top of their game; working hard, friendly and helpful! Jack Nicholas can continue to be proud his name is associated with such a well run course and restaurant! Special shout out to the chef/ restaurant staff. Course is fantastic. It was in great shape and the black sand is amazing. We had a guys trip with 4 foursomes and played 36 holes (18 holes twice) and the variety of hole design is great.
There are elevation changes throughout the layout, but nothing too gimmicky. I wouldn’t say the course plays like a links style course but it has a style similar to one depending on the weather conditions. Tee shots are pretty forgiving while second shorts demanded more accuracy. Greens rolled good and took some adjustment figuring out the severity of the break.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Came here and played 72 holes in 2 days. Course is excellent. Sam in Jacks grill was fantastic all weekend. An overall great trip, highly recommend.
