This is the place to go when you need to dispose of trash. But I must warn you. They're strict and will deny you access if you don't follow the rules. They will not allow you to dump tires, liquids, paints, flammable, or hazard material. You have to pay per load, and most importantly, they don't accept cash as form of payment. Yes they do charge a fee for dumping.
Easy access if you have trash you need to dump. I put two garbage bags next to my garbage can and the I was told they wouldn’t take the bags. So now you have to take anything that won’t fit in the can and dispose of it. You are allowed up to 300lbs a day. You just pull up, they weigh your vehicle, then you back up to the dumpsters that are recessed in the ground. You won’t have to try and lift it over the side. If you were able to get it in your vehicle, you’ll be able to unload it easily.
Courtney, at the weigh station office made my first visit to this landfill a very positive experience. She was friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, giving me a complete understanding of how the pricing and entire process will go every time I need to come. Though there are a few other landfills that I could go to, I now will choose Pelican Grove every time purely because of my experience with her. GIVE THAT WOMAN A RAISE!
