I called this clinic during an after-hours emergency involving my dog and chocolate poisoning. The person who answered told me there was nothing they could do because my dog had not been seen there before. The response was unapologetic and unhelpful, and no guidance or alternatives were offered during a time-sensitive situation. This was very disappointing in an emergency where compassion and basic assistance matter.

We had to evacuate to Meridian, MS after being hit by Hurricane Ida in Southeast Louisiana. I had my elderly father with me as his home was severely damaged from the hurricane. It was a very stressful situation and with no power, it was scorching hot. I contacted Meridian Animal Care Center 1 day prior to evacuation and spoke with Bethany. As crowded as they were from other evacuees, she assured me that, "we'll make it work." When I got there the following day, they were so gracious, kind, and comforting. Dr. Moore and her staff were able to find room to board my dog over the busy Labor Day Weekend because I had evacuated from New Orleans due to Hurricane Ida. Not only did she arrange for someone to meet me at the facility on Labor Day to pick up my dog because I was finally able to go home, but she refused to take any payment for his stay. I cannot say enough how wonderful the staff was and how much I appreciate them taking such good care of my dog. Thank you so much for your generosity !
