“This is the third time we are using Gutter Masters since 2014. I messaged Mr. Cary as we have done business most recently in 2019 to have gutters installed on our new house. I just replaced the roof on this house, which required me to remove old gutters to replace fascia and to properly install ice and water membrane. Previous gutters were not installed by Gutter Masters, even though they were also seamless, but they had exposed fasteners. I wanted to have ones with hidden hangers like GM uses. As always, Mr. Cary was extremely helpful. He measured the home, gave me quotes. Prices certainly rose since 2019, but the USD also lost a lot of value since then. I felt GM still offers great value compared to competition in the area. Office staff Misty and Jodie were also great help and stayed in touch with quotes and scheduling. I installed an ice and water shield that I overlapped 1 inch onto fascia as well as heavy duty steel gutter apron. One thing I regret when doing a roof is forgetting to leave a 1/4-inch gap between the gutter apron (aka drip edge) and fascia board, which would have made our lives so much easier. Instead, I installed apron tight against fascia. That created a bit of a complication fitting the gutter under the apron. However, the team led by Shon worked with me to have it done properly, despite the gutter caching the edge of peel and stick under the gutter apron, creating a significant slow down to the job. We rarely see ice and water shield along the eaves of the roof in the South since we do not get ice dams here, so I took personal initiative to assist the team in the install, which they allowed. Overall, I am pleased with gutter system I received, as well as excellent installs on the miters and downspouts. The design of the gutter slightly changed, it used to be shiny inside but now has a light green coating inside, likely for extra aluminum oxidation protection. I can vouch that even though my 2014 gutters have no coating, they still look brand new. GM use Spectra Gutter Systems, which is great quality, made in the USA, as well as Veteran-owned. They also use ample hangers to ensure gutter does not sag over time. They use gray Geocel 2320 to seal the miter seams, which is a great quality sealant, similar to one I entrust for my roofing work (Geocel 2300). The only thing I would suggest as my constructive feedback is to double seal miters by also running a bead of caulking on two sides of overlapping surface (hidden portion of overlap) in addition to two inside edges and the middle hem. This would create double layer of sealant for extra insurance for double seal on each side of the miter. Overall, I would highly recommend gutter masters without reservation!”
