My husband and I were camping at a local campground for the evening when our mini dachshund was attacked by a large dog at the campground and was bleeding profusely. I called Pine Belt Veterinary 45 minutes before closing time and they welcomed us in, cleaned the wounds on her ear and neck, stapled her wounds and checked for any internal injuries. The staff was so friendly, helpful, efficient and the price-tag wasn’t outrageous. All of their efforts were so very appreciated, especially considering we were just visiting Hattiesburg for one evening.
This is where my sweet Girl passed away. She was hit by a car on Good Friday at 3:55 pm. I drove to one Vet the Dr was gone, called another Vet they were closed, but Pine Belt Vet was open. We rushed Girl here, and the Dr and staff worked on her until she passed surrounded by love. They will cremate her and mail me the remains.
WONDERFUL SERVICE all the way around. This was my first time using them and I was at their mercy desperate for a correct diagnosis when I called about my shih tzu Mofo. She was in pain and not eating or drinking, barely moving. Dr Ember was an angel. She was very thorough and ran multiple test and diagnosed the problem and even found an unrelated underlying heart condition that was undetected for over 6 years. She explained each charge beforehand and the cost was very reasonable, not that I cared what it cost to fix my baby. With the correct meds, 48 hours later she’s eating, drinking and barking as usual.
