Mercy Clinic Primary Care - Patients First Drive

While I normally have no problems with this facility, things are changing there and not for the better. I scheduled my once a year physical for late September 2025. I also sent an email reminding them that I would be at my appointment for a Physical only, nothing more. My insurance pays for a physical once a year. I guess Mercy is now calling a physical a wellness visit, the last two times I have gone for a physical, not much is done. This time the only thing that Dr. Strasser did was have me take six deep breaths, while he listened with his stethoscope.

We showed up early for Moms appointment because we had snow on the ground and it was still snowing when we left, got here at 10:30 to check in and was informed by Jane that we can’t check in that early and the doctor Mom was seeing wouldn’t even be in until noon. So then she told me she could check in Mom an hour prior to her appointment and then I got told she can’t check in Mom until a few minutes before her appointment. She was hateful and rude. She could have checked in Mom and put down her appointment time. I sure hope the doctor is nicer than the receptionist. I have never been talked to like this in my life. I've been there numerous times due to various issues and they've always been fairly quick and everyone was friendly and patient. I wouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to go there. Sorry, that you ran into some issue but I don't think that is the normal reception. I guess anyone can have a bad day and treat you worse than you would expect but I have no complaints at all.
