Homestead is a fabulous operation. The vets are fantastic, knowledgeable, personable and care about your animal. The techs are helpful and professional. The front staff, yep - thumbs up there too. One thing I appreciate so much is that you can make an appointment right away.
It's a 1 hour drive for us, but it one were willing to make because the staff & Dr. Craig helped us with our old dog & we were able to have him for an additional year that another vet would've told us it was to put down, and when the time came we took him to Homestead & we received a card with nose & paw prints signed by all the staff. Our current dog has heart condition & she was a second opinion & idk why we didn't just start with her. They are super trustworthy & lay all options out for owners to make an informed decision on issues, and support pet families.
Dr. Lorentz is an amazing vet. Our horse had a sudden, severe case of colic. Dr. Lorentz came out early on a Sunday morning to treat her. She came back later in the day as well because our mare continued to decline. We ended up having to euthanize her, and Dr. Lorentz was so caring and compassionate. She did all she could to help her, and then helped her pass with peace when it was obvious she was in a lot of pain and beyond saving. It was a very difficult day, and Dr. Lorentz was an angel. Thank you!
