We were new to Missouri (from DC) and needed a log home built. Griffin Log Homes was recommended by several people, so we gave them a call and ended up going with them. The more local people we talked to, the more our choice in a log home builder was confirmed. Its great to have a builder who takes the time to explain the process, give you realistic options and makes recommendations while keeping the homeowner's budget in mind.
