The rubber buttons on my car's key fob had worn down and one of them had fallen off completely, preventing me from being able to hit the button inside the fob. I was able to hit it with a needle, but my fingers were too large to press it. I took it to the dealership to see what they could do, but they quoted me ~$500 for a brand new fob plus programming.
Since I knew the internals were still functional, I figured there might be some way to transfer them into a new shell. Mike was able to get a new key fob shell within a week, and today he transferred the internals and cut a new key for $50. Excellent work.... read full review

Mike was magnificent to work with. I was able to get an appointment relatively quickly, exchanged some photos of my door hardware so that he could more efficiently address the problem in one visit. Work was completed efficiently and professionally. Here’s the kicker though - he didn’t just fix the tumbler in my door, he actually let me watch and showed me how rekeying works. The next kicker - I had asked whether he knew anyone local for door repair/replacement for some trouble with our door frame. He showed me a temporary solution to keep it working better til I can get it fixed!! He took time out of his day to help me with this problem purely... read full review

We could not get our trunk open with a key or the wire latch system. I called St Charles Lock and Key and Mike came out within a hour. He had to pop the back seat latch to release the trunk lock from inside the trunk and fixed the problem. Super guy and super service.
