Took my wife to the ER Tuesday morning for intense pain. After her battle with cancer we take these things serious. Obviously more serious than the ER staff. By the end of the visit the staff became rude and made my wife feel like she was there pain med shopping. Had they looked at her chart, they would have seen that she doesn't take pain meds. Even through cancer she refused pain medication as long as possible. The nurse came and if it hurts just take IBUPROFEN Which made no sense because my wife is allergic to ibuprofen. Which is clearly stated in her records. In fact, they ask you that question several times during your visit. As a retired military family we have visited ER's all over the world. In fact a visit to the ER in TCMH discovered her cancer Instead of saying , take an ibuprofen and making her feel they're pain fake. As we follow-up in the next couple weeks, to find out what's wrong with her. If it is something serious, I will not hesitate to seek legal counsel. Shame on you.
I was traveling and had a huge emergency. The paramedics took me to this Hospital and the paramedics and everyone at this hospital took care of me like I was family. I will forever be grateful for the care I received in this place. Thank you so much!
would not reccomend going to this hospitals emergency room. they will try and make you go broke. took my son there for rsv and for just a few test done the charges us $4,555.55. I have never been charged that much money for an emergency room visit ever. we will not be going back to Phelps Health. I would rather die before going there.
