As someone who *cringe* went to college in Columbia 10 years ago, Living Canvas was a common stop for us - piercings, tattoos, everything. My sister who lives in the area decided she wanted her nose re-pierced, so I took her here since I knew they were super clean. We did a walk in, and we're helped super quick, maybe waited 10 minutes. Mike pierced her nose, he was SUPER informative and knew what he was talking about. So friendly, and walked her through everything. A couple days later, it popped out. The cleanest parlor I've ever been to! The piercer was awesome and super professional. The people at the front desk were also very kind and well spoken. Definitely felt taken care of here. I can't recommend it more

Shawn does amazing work. His tattoos are original pieces that are individually drawn after sharing your vision with him and leave a deposit. After approving the drawing he tattoos by appointment only. His only exception is his Friday the 13th deal where he takes walk-ins, first come first serve, and has clip art that he has personally drawn. You can not beat the price for the quality of work whether by appointment or on a Friday the 13th. He also paints. He has done two custom tattoos for me, one Friday the 13th tattoo, and I own one of his paintings. I'm happy with all of them and still get compliments on the custom tattoos. They still look great after 4 years.
