I’ve been seeing Dr. Gassen since I first moved to the Jefferson City area 10+ years ago. In the past several years, I’ve been bringing my daughter (now 7) also. While Dr. Gassen might not look like a specialized pediatric dentist from the waiting room, I have to share this experience from last week. Ellie and I went in for our 6 month cleaning like normal later in the afternoon (4:00ish). Our cleanings went smoothly, as per usual, but E had a small cavity in a molar she’d have for a couple more years. I asked if we should schedule a follow-up to get it fixed, and Dr. Gassen glanced at his watch, then said, “Want to just knock it out now?” Every parent reading this knows how valuable that statement was. I’m sure Dr. Gassen thought it would only add 30min to his day, but Miss E chose that moment to have a full anxiety-ridden meltdown. Honestly, I thought we’d have to schedule a heavily reward-promised follow-up. Lucky for me, Dr. Gassen has daughters of his own. He never lost his patience, but managed to assert authority, calm her down, and fully explain what was going on in a way that E understood AND cooperated fully… cavity filled without further incident. I’m sure it wasn’t a big deal to Dr. Gassen and his staff, but it was a H U G E deal to me! And I hope Dr. Gassen and his staff never think all they do is clean teeth, because E chose to dress as a dentist for community hero day at school less than a week later - clearly, this was a big deal to her also. So grateful for Dr. Gassen and his wonderful staff ❤️❤️❤️

Went to see Dr Gassen for the first time today!! To be honest: never left the dentist office so happy and pleased! Sue the hygienist was amazing! Dr. Gassen was honest and caring. Jen at the front desk was great as well. Overall an amazing place. Would highly recommend this place for all your dental needs. Very pleased!

I’ve been visiting Dr Gassen for 3 years now. My appointments are always on time, and the work he does is great. Highly reccomend Dr Gassen and his hygiene associates!
