Jefferson City Judo Club & Jujitsu is a highly regarded place for Judo in Missouri, offering a welcoming community for both hobbyists and competitors. Words on the wall in the dojo say, "judo and jujitsu family," and upon entering, individuals become part of an extended family. With supportive leadership, the club treats everyone like family, encouraging friendship and mentorship. It hosts well-organized events for all ages, including local and national competitions, and has even collaborated with nonprofits to teach self-defense. Families enjoy watching their loved ones grow and succeed in a positive environment, with instructors who care about how members carry themselves on and off the mat. The expansive mat space allows for plenty of room for spectators, making it an awesome place for tournaments.
Can't recommend JCJC more. Every week, every class the coaches and Sensei pour hours of attention and care into their students. The dedication to ensuring each child, teen, and adult learn and succeeds is measured by how many students return each week. We have been attending class for over a year now and this is truly our home away from home. Thank you Sensei Josh and jcjc for being exactly what my family needs.
Judo has been really great for our child. The Sensei teaches solid fundamental skills while always prioritizing safety. The environment is welcoming, everyone is very kind, and our child absolutely loves going to class. Highly recommend!
We love it here. True black belt martial arts teacher. Teaches true values, strong character and they start by teaching how to do things safely. They dont just go through the motions but are encouraged to grow and get better and compete if they choose. And the price is good!
