“We hired bornagain to got our deck prepped for staining, remove latticework, stained, add decorative 45 angle bracing on the posts, and raised to have the posts put on top of concrete joists. The quote was upfront which was helpful and it was itemized so we knew what all we were charged for. We had to put 1/3 of the payment down to get the job started. Now that the job is done we love how the stain looks, the angle bracing looks nice, and they also replaced a loose step for us! My only complaint is communication and it seemed like I had to text to push them to come out and continue to work. He originally told me the job would take 2-3 days weather allowing, and they started on it april 10th and finally finished today on april 28th. Granted there was some weather days between the start of the job and when they ended, but I had to prompt him with texts on good weather days to find out when they would come work. When the job was almost fully completed on april 15th (the deck stairs needed to be screwed into the concrete) he asked for the rest of the payment and he would be back tomorrow to finish. I gave him the rest of the payment and he did come the next day but still didnt finish. Long story short it took me calling and leaving a message and some more texts, and 13 days later its finally done. But the deck looks good, we love the stain and the decorative 45s on the posts, so overall 4/5. Included is before and after shots of the deck.“
