Last night my 9 year old daughter had a softball injury while at practice. She was hit in the face by a softball in close proximity that knocked two of her front teeth out of place, and almost completely out of her mouth. We took her to the ER and they couldn’t help. We called her normal pediatric dentist emergency line and they didn’t answer(which we figured we might not get a call back until next day since it was so late). But as a mom I panicked and decided to private message a friend I know from Dr. Vaughn’s office that I go to for dental care. I asked her if she had any advice on what I could do and the response I got from her was unbelievably amazing. Dr. Vaughn offered to come in herself, at almost 9pm to help my child who is not even her patient. I thanked her and told her I would call back next day if needed. I waited until this morning to contact my daughters normal office again (which I might add is a very well know pediatric office in the area) and their response was “we don’t have anytime available in the near future, we can’t help you” no other suggestions or even a slight bit of compassion for their patient even though this was an emergency. So I called Dr. Vaughns office back and asked if I could make an appointment, they told me come in today at noon (which I’m almost certain these ladies missed their lunch hour to help us) and we will take care of her. From the moment we got there until the time we left my daughter didn’t shed a tear, the staff was MORE than helpful, patient, and gentle with her the entire process. Now I have been going here for years as an adult, so I already knew this was a great place to go, but this experience assured me that this is where my children should be going from here on out as well. So thank you again to Dr. Vaughn, Amber, and Jane for all the help and friendly smiles today. We really appreciate you ladies and your hard work! This was an above and beyond experience, and everyone should know how great you all are!
