Dr. Martin Parks is a hero in my books. I found out I had scoliosis last year (from a chiropractor when I lived in California, Mo). When I moved back to Cass County this year I visited Dr. Parks I was having some issues. He fixed me right up. He then asked if I had have my children checked out since scoliosis is genetic. I had not. I didn't know it was. That night I went home checked my 5 year old he looked good. Then I checked my 9 year old and my heart sank. You could see the curve. He took xrays for her in October. At this time her curve was 25.21 degrees. She was sent in to Children's Mercy. Today was her first bone specialist appointment. They took some more xrays and her curve in about two months progressed 10 more degrees. She now has a 35.01 degrees curve. At 50 they talk surgery. Dr. Parks saved her from that. He gave us the chance to try and correct it/slow it down with a brace and physical therapy. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart Dr. Parks. You will forever be our hero.
