“I came into the PX today scrambling to put together last-minute Mother’s Day gifts for my wife and mother-in-law. Most of the Mother’s Day cards were already sold out, the remaining selection was limited, and the gifts I picked out were packaged in plain boxes that just didn’t feel personal enough for the occasion.
Petals & Blooms is normally closed on Sundays, but they opened today specifically for Mother’s Day — and honestly, Ani completely saved my butt.
While I was visibly stressing, Ani overheard me and immediately stepped in to help — completely on her own initiative and expecting absolutely nothing in return. She helped transform what felt rushed and thrown together into something thoughtful and meaningful.
Later, when I came back looking for cards, she went even further by using her own creativity and crafting skills to help personalize everything and make it genuinely special. At that point, I insisted on compensating her because kindness and effort like that deserves recognition.
In nearly 40 years, I honestly don’t think I’ve experienced customer service this accommodating, thoughtful, and genuine. It’s rare these days to find people who truly care about helping others beyond just making a sale.
If you’re at Fort Leonard Wood, please support Petals & Blooms. Ani and her business embody what customer service should be: caring, personal, and consistently under-promising while over-delivering.“
