Courtney's Heating & Cooling

We have been customers of Courtney Heating and Cooling for 20 years. But they and other smaller companies have been bought up and they now go by Classic Aire or other company names. We had our summer maintenance almost two weeks ago which we tried to schedule at the beginning of the summer but they were too booked. Anyway, the young man that came said we had a leak and then suddenly the unit was icing up. He had added two pounds of Freon which we paid for at that time-$277. That was all weird because it was working fine when we he arrived. He advised against using it until a more senior technician could come which was scheduled for two days later. The other guy did come and he also said there was a leak but he he was puzzled about why it was freezing up. He went back upstairs and found the young man had wired things wrong during his maintenance and now the blower was not working. He undid the mistake and then it turned out we did not need the two pounds of Freon so he removed it and told us we would get a refund right away. Well we are still waiting. We have been told multiple times the refund has been issued. Finally today, we were told they only issue refunds on Friday but no explanation why we didn't get ours on Friday except the list was too long. No one in management has apologized for the mistake and the fact that we went two days without the AC for no good reason. I thought refunding the original service call would have been a nice gesture but I guess they don't think that way. Instead, we got lies about why such a delay on the refund.

Their customer service is a joke and they make all these promises and follow thru with none of them. I'm a month and a half out of the one year warranty and the best they could do was half price, yet they claim to sell reliable products but will not stand behind these products by doing the work on their dime. If your product is so good and the promises of having no issues for many years to come is not good enough we will charge you when the product fails right as the warranty expires. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

They’re thorough and expertise service. We’ve been customers since 1993. Randy H was our service technician and was friendly and very informative in explaining what was wrong with our furnace. The part fortunately was in stock and they were back within 24 hours to replace the part just in time before our first freeze. I would highly recommend Courtney’s for your heating and cooling needs for their reliability, prompt, and excellent service
