I have been a guitar student with Mike since early 2018. He is great guitar teacher and also a super band mate. I highly recommend him and his other music teachers to you. From my experience he will help you become the musician you want to be.
Mike Murphy has a unique approach to teaching and therefore learning to play music for young students or older students with a bucket list dream. Mike's approach is to lay a foundation as quickly as possible and then assemble students into bands. This creates a purpose for the aspiring musician and allows the student to climb the learning curve quickly while having more fun along the way. Whether you are just beginning as a young student or picking up where you left off now that you have more time, this Academy has an approach worth checking out. Mike is an excellent relatable teacher for students in all walks of life. Or better yet...all jams of life!
My son has been taking guitar lessons from Mike Murphy for a while now. Mike’s easy-going demeanor and patience has helped grow my son’s love of music and his self-confidence. I recommend Mike without reservation.
