Scott and his team did a fantastic job with finishing our basement, and removing an enclosed stairwell on our main level to turn it into a more open living area. He also added a pantry, closet, built in book shelf, and fixed cracking plaster in one room (that had been fixed twice already by other contractors, but kept cracking). I actually meant to hire another contractor, but after some miscommunication with the other guy and a whole mess, I fell into Scott’s hands and wow am I glad I did. He was very professional, communicated well, and just really made me feel at ease after a really stressful start with the other guy. They handled the irregularities of our 110+ year old house very well. The quality of his team’s work exceeded our expectations, and we absolutely love our final product. I would use SRK again in a heartbeat, and highly recommend him.

We hired SRK construction to finish our basement. We were immediately impressed by Scott because of his excellent communication and professionalism. Scott’s team is also very respectful and does an excellent job. Scott came by regularly to ensure things were running smoothly. He was organized and always on top of everything. The pandemic hit towards the end of our project but he still kept the project moving along in a timely manner. We love our basement and will definitely hire Scott again in the future!

SRK contracting is unbeatable in every way. We have worked with Scott Knese for the past two years turning a house into the home we never dreamed possible. On the exterior, he designed a new facade with brick and new garage doors and an extension of the roof line, which added amazing curb appeal. While doing so he improved drainage, added gutter covers, resealed our leaky chimney and new shingles. The inside of the garage was finished with storage, heating and a hook up for future electric vehicles. We had all flooring changed to hardwood , two staircases completely rebuilt, classic carpentry treatments, new doors in and out, walls removed or relocated, three bathrooms completely re-done, a gorgeous gas fireplace floor to ceiling , a main floor custom bar and second bar in the basement, painting throughout...we could never describe all the work he has done right down to all new lighting, and every last doorknob! Every single job , big or small, was done with care, quality, and impeccable skill. Scott himself is a thoughtful, meticulous,incredible asset that we believe would be impossible to beat. We trust his opinion and his creative solutions and suggestions.. we would have an idea of the look we’d envisioned, and Scott was able to use his expertise and experience , would listen to our vision and give us resources and all our options Ultimately the end products have turned out better than imaginable on every project. He works with a variety of talented craftsman , architects,carpenters, plumbers, painters, electricians, etc. He was even able to help us with pool repairs and hvac trades to name a few . Everyone that has worked in our home has been courteous, experts in their area , considerate and left the work area tidy everyday. Considering the amount of work we were having completed, the workers coming and going were flexible, courteous and as unobtrusive as possible. We were always given accurate time lines and the work, as I said, was very impressive. We researched many companies and SRK was competitive and very fair. It seems Scott has amassed a quality group to work with, and despite being just our “small” home renovation he was constantly on top of our projects, checking up almost everyday, answering all of our questions promptly and keeping us in the loop. We always felt confident knowing we were in capable hands. We are quite meticulous about our “dream” home and Scott takes just as much pride in his workmanship as if were his home. I know I’m accidentally excluding some of the work and talent but honestly there isn’t a single complaint we could share. Next summer we plan to do landscaping, lighting, new patios and an outdoor kitchen... all of course, with Scott , SRK General Contracting.
