My primary care doctor had a nurse respond to my message with my pictures of an insect bite that seemed infected as I had a fever develop at the same time. I only had interaction with the nurse who was confident it wasn’t a spider bite. She referred me to urgent care. The Dr and NPs were booked. That was frustrating as had she tried to get me in initially maybe there would’ve been a chance. In the end I’m so glad I went to this urgent care. Dr. Qayum was amazing. She diagnosed it as an infected spider bite and prescribed antibiotics. Easy peasy. Didn’t take much time. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. I saved my time slot ahead of time.
